On My Wishlist: Eleventh Grave in Moonlight by Darynda Jones

Eleventh Grave in Moonlight
by Darynda Jones
Series: Charley Davidson #11
352 p.
Publisher: St. Martin's Griffin
Published: 1/24/17
A typical day in the life of Charley Davidson involves cheating husbands, missing people, errant wives, philandering business owners, and oh yeah...demons, hell hounds, evil gods, and dead people. Lots and lots of dead people. As a part time Private Investigator and full-time Grim Reaper, Charley has to balance the good, the bad, the undead, and those who want her dead. In this eleventh installment, Charley is learning to make peace with the fact that she is a goddess with all kinds of power and that her own daughter has been born to save the world from total destruction. But the forces of hell are determined to see Charley banished forever to the darkest corners of another dimension. With the son of Satan himself as her husband and world-rocking lover, maybe Charley can find a way to have her happily ever after after all.
Um... do I need to explain why I need this when I haven't gotten to 10 yet? :D

Also, can I haz that boot, and the other one as well? :D

What is on your wishlist this week? Any cool footwear or shoe jewelry to go with it?

  1. I couldn't get into the first book in this series, but I definitely want to try again since this is a favorite of so many readers! I'm glad that it's going strong even after ten books--great pick!

    1. For some people it seemed to take a couple of books before really hitting their stride. Love this on audio. Might make the difference.

  10. I'm listening to 10th Grave right now. I had to switch from reading to listening b/c the series was driving me nuts - I won't rant here, but I've got issues. However, there is so much I love about the series, I'll keep going. I heard 12 books total?

    1. Perhaps since I've listened to them all, it makes me have no issues? Hm... now I'm curious, but I still love it. I'd wish for more than 12 myself. :D

    2. If you are really curious, check out some of my reviews for the series, especially books 6 & 7. http://twimom227.com/tag/charley-davidson-series It's a total love-hate relationship. haha.

    3. Oh so true. The multiple storylines. It is so much easier to deal with on audio for me and I do remember being annoyed at the Captain and why he was following her. I do remember some of those subplots getting bogged down. I do think that in this case it is the audio that really saves things for me and I have had that experience when I've broken up a series between audio and reading. Sometimes it makes a difference and I hope it does for you as well.
