My Book Boyfriend:

Meme hosted by the Unread Reader

Today I'm celebrating the wonderful giveaway by Lish McBride. I loved this book and loved the male protagonist, Sam. He's snarky, smart and just plain lovable. Even finding himself in a precarious and unbelievable situation, he doesn't skip a beat and finds out that he is a capable person. It's just a fun ride with Sam and I can't wait to continue his adventures with him.

(my review of the book)

Hm... so who could play Sam. Someone who just seems likable and yet able to handle the most intense situation. I though of Steven R. McQueen:

Oh can I first say I need that bike and sidecar for my baby! :D Second, Steven is over 21 ;) but could still play the 19 yr old for Sam (yes! legal!). Oh I think he would work well in the YA section of the man harem.

So, who do you have this week? Don't forget to enter to win Hold Me Closer Necromancer! Go HERE to enter.

My Book Boyfriend

Meme hosted by the Unread Reader

My book boyfriend is from Erin Kellison's newest book in the Shadow series Fire Kissed (review tomorrow). In the book we have Jack Bastion. A dark haired, light eyed angel who doesn't care for mages at all. So, having to work with one... especially one that is so independent is quite annoying to him. Of course, being a warrior angel does not make him immune to Kaye's charmes and despite quite a bit of warring with himself, he finds himself longing for her touch. However Shadow (which mages are full of) is anathema to angel's light so how could he deal with it?

My answer? Forget the mage... I'm right here! ;)

Oh and who could I see playing this alpha angel with love that runs deep?

My Book Boyfriend... Film Noir edition

Meme hosted by the Unread Reader

Today's edition comes from the book, The Taken, by Vicki Pettersson. The book, which I reviewed yesterday, had a film noir feel to it. So, I had to go with the old film noir movies of old. So, I guess my man harem will now have a special section just for them.

In this book, Griff was a straightforward kind of guy. He was a P.I.  in the 50s and even knew many of the not so legally minded men who ran Vegas at that time. He was and is an alpha male who ended up getting a second chance at life on earth. However, how he spends that time and what he does with it... well... you'll have to read the book to find out. Anyway, he is a gentleman who knows that there are times to not be gentle and who loves women, and does not treat them like property or objects.

Hm... so who to play him. I thought I'd do something different and pick from a real film noir. So, I looked and I kept coming across this picture of Robert Mitchum and Jane Greer in Out of the Past:

Pretty perfect... for both of them really, but sorry Jane, this is a boys only club. Well, those that get to stay there... since I'm the only female allowed to enjoy it. ;D
All pics are from the film, Out of the Past and are owned by Warner Brothers

I think grandma would be proud. ;)

My Book Boyfriend

Meme hosted by the Unread Reader

My book boyfriend is from the book I will review tomorrow, Kindling the Moon by Jenn Bennett. My newest induction to the man harem is Lon. He's taciturn and you learn more from his grunts and glances than anything he might say. He's an alpha male who doesn't let that get in his way when it comes to romance. Although there are times when he missed the romantic mark by a mile, he still has a sense of humor about the whole thing. He is very honest and he has a talent which is empathy. Yep, he's one male that doesn't have to guess at what you are feeling even when you don't want him to know. :)
Lon is also an involved parent. One thing that is rare in YA, but also in other genre's as well. Especially when it is a father. He's quite a bit older than Cady, but fine for me. ;) He has a mustache that was described as a pirate, but really read to me like a fu manchu. So, I looked around and the one person that can do pirate as well as the fu manchu was... Johnny Depp. I know I had him here before in his geek getup, so here he is in his more relaxed and dashing roll. I don't mind two sides of Depp in the harem, do you?

He actually fits Lon's description well. Remember, review of this book tomorrow!

My Book Boyfriend

Ah, after reading Deadly Descendant you can now place me fully in the drooling after Jamaal category! Descended from the death goddess Kali, he does have trouble controlling his death magic. In fact it grieves him a lot. He has gone to extremes in trying to control it but isn't always successful. He's an alpha male to the core, but has a soft side he doesn't show hardly anyone. He has had a horrible human existence and not a fun immortal one either. The fact that he still wants to be a good person despite all the betrayals and harsh living he has gone through tells you who he is deep down. He is loyal and will not give up on someone once they earn that loyalty. His compassion runs deep even though he rarely shows the world. That is saved for those he cares about the most.

Now who could play Jamaal? I had a hard time picking someone for him. I mean he had to have that look that could kill but yet light up a room when he smiles. His hair is distinctive, but I couldn't find someone to fit the bill with his hairstyle. However, I thought Tyson Beckford could at least fit one requirement. I always loved his smile even though I honestly can't ever see him with a look that would make me want to run the other way. So, I dub him the closest to my Jamaal in my head. It was his smile that sold me:
well, puts a smile on my face...

My Book Boyfriend

Hosted by The Unread Reader!

I've been reading the Jane Jameson series by Molly Harper so I have to add Gabriel. He is the one who turned Jane and is quite a smexy treat. He is a gentleman and yet has that snarky side Jane is bringing out in him. He is learning to be a little less brooding and a little more fun in his undead life. Even though he keeps Jane a bit in the dark as to their relationship status (I think she should kick him for that), he at least has been a bit help learning the undead ropes.
So, enough talk? Should I show you who I could picture as Gabriel?
Eddie Cibrian! I saw a couple of pics and thought he would fit nicely as Gabriel.
Hee hee... and you thought you would only get the suit! Don't you know me by now???

So... who is in your man harem this week?

My Book Boyfriend

Yes, I know... I haven't done this in an age. Time to change that.

First, I'd like to revisit a book boyfriend I actually revisited before:
Oh yes... you know it's coming... I'm staking my claim again on Owen. Oh Owen! You sure showed us how swoon worthy you are in this book. You accept Gin for who she is and love her without doubt or reservation. Darn it! ;) Stop doing that! You are MINE!

So... you know it's coming... I've featured him as Owen before (posts) and I'm going to do so again.

MY Owen is played by Jason Momoa. Ah so let's get to the man candy, shall we?

Since there are several scenes in this book on the beach, I think I'll go for those type of images:
Must be talking to Bria...
Can't forget this beach look...
Oh Owen... I'd love a vacay with you at the beach! ;D
Don't forget there is a giveaway of this book currently going on HERE

My second man candy here and newest addition to the man harem is Talivar from:

Oh this fallen prince is one of the few fae who know what it is like to see beyond the beauty. To see someone for who they are and not just who they present themselves to be. Now, he has been described several times as a scruffy Legolas. So for these, imagine a bit of beard scruff as well as an eye patch. However, I still felt that Legolas would fit the bill for Talivar nicely. So, here is a sweet, heartbroken, loving Talivar played, of course, by Legolas/Orlando Bloom. He really does have an elfan name, doesn't he?

I actually see him with darker hair.. but this will do for now. ;)
Sorry, I couldn't find a shirtless version. Darn Legolas never took his shirt off. I think we need to complain. :D

So, who is new in your man harem this week?

My Book Boyfriend

Meme hosted by The Unread Reader

Oooh so who am I putting up as book boyfriends today? Noticed the plural??? ;D Oh yea! I'm going plural for this one.
So, if you read my review for Demons at Deadnight you will see that I mentioned that ALL the Hex Boys were gorgeous! So, I'm gonna add them all! Okay, now I realize that they are still so young. So, I will do what I usually do and show what they will look like when they reach at least 21 or older. So, they will be in a special wing of the harem for YA characters. They must mature to enter the main harem. I mean, I'm not that crazy!

So, what will the boys look like when they are men? All grown up and ready to be introduced into the main harem? Hm...

Let's start with Ayden, shall we?
Wears all black, is "smokin'" *giggles*, dark almond eyes, Hawaiian in background, can be frustratingly handsome when in a intimate position even if it isn't intentional. Oh yea... he is one hot hottie! *giggles again*

(You'll get the giggles when you read the book)

Oh and we can't forget that he was so nice that they made him twice! Yep, he has a twin. So, I think I'll put him next on the list.

Here is his twin, Jayden. Jayden can be a "tad" (heh) in the overanalyzing department. He can give you any statistics you never knew you even wanted. Despite his very "dry" personality, he is caring and very sweet. I can't wait to see more of his personality come out in the series.

Both characters portrayed by Takeshi Kaneshiro.

Hm... now who should I add next?

Logan is very pale and has very silver blonde hair. His eyes are green and he has hidden talents that make him irresistible to the ladies (no magic there, just skills). Oh in fact he is just a breath of fresh air! He is quite shy so he does not capitalize on those skills. He is also a snappy dresser. Here he is in his dressed down look in Calvin Kline. Hm... I wonder what else we will find out about him in the future?

Logan is played by AJ Abualrub.

Now, lets see a bit more muscle... how about...

Here is Blake all grown up. He is a card and a half. He loves flowers and all things in nature. Especially women. He can't get enough of them. He also knows he is handsome and will willingly go running after and save any woman he can. I mean, it's great to be the hero, right? I can't wait to see him find "the one" that will make him forget all else. Well, he'll be in my harem, so that's me, right? ;D

Blake is played by Paul Marron

Oh I wonder if we should visit the next door neighbor?

Tristan! Very sweet and concerned about everyone. He has a hypnotic quality about him. ;) He can make you forget yourself and give you something else to think about. Oh yea... grow up quick! ;D

Tristan is played by Mathias Lauridsen

Now for the darkest of the group:

Matthias has quite a few demons in his personality. Although he is the hardest to like, you sense that there is a good and honest streak underneath all that bluster. He is quick to respond to anyone in need, especially when it comes to those that are vulnerable. I also feel that as soon as you have this one pegged, he will switch up and throw you a fruit loop. Yep, he'll keep you on your toes and protect you from all the darkness in life.

Matthias is played by Theo Teodoridis

So, what do you think of my potential harem? Hey, I'm claiming them now. I already know that Missie and Jen are sniffing around Ayden. I've upped the security on his suite. I'm also cautioning Jenny and Felicia so they know once they are all grown up... these boys are MINE! ;D

Oh I had such a hard time doing this post. Having to look at ALL those pictures! *swoon* Oh my... Oh yea...
So who is new in your harem?

My Book Boyfriend

Meme hosted by The Unread Reader!

Todays book boyfriend comes from Diane Duvall's newest book (just out) Night Reigns! Marcus is the man in this book. He is grumpy and heartbroken when we meet him. He lost the love of his life recently, and she never belonged with him in the first place. So, it was unrequited love. He is also the only one who had ever befriended my last book boyfriend in this series, Rowland, who was anti-social to say the least. However, he has a chance at a new love, a true love... but will he take a chance? Will the woman who could be the one take a chance on him? Hm... have to read it to find out, but I think you'll enjoy the story.

So... who do I see as Marcus? Oh that was a hard one. However, I think that David Gandy would fit the bill as Marcus and look good in the man harem.

So, what does he look like? Well, I'll shut it and let you gander...

Oh and how about... thoughtful...
So, as I mop up the drool... who is your book boyfriend this week?

Oh and while you are here... don't forget the giveaway that is soon to end that deals with this series. Just go HERE for an easy entry into the international giveaway!

Also, Diane is giving away a great prize to celebrate the release of this book. Just click on the pic below for the deets!

My Book Boyfriend

Meme hosted by The Unread Reader

Today my book boyfriend is Owen Winters. He's one hot elemental snow god who Megan "built" for me... uh I mean her. He has dark black hair, one blue eye and one brown and a physique to make you sweat. He's also sweet, patient, and has a great sense of humor (my review HERE). Now, I wasn't sure who could play Owen, but when I saw this pic:

I thought it was perfect. I mean Owen needs the cold but will don on a coat to keep up appearances. So the shirtless pose with the coat just seemed perfect. This is Robin Martin btw.
Oh! I'm sure some of you remember that my review was labeled for the adults... well, here's one you might like better. Kids... turn around now...
Hm... I wonder if he made the penguins blush? ;)

So, who is new in your man harem this week?

My Book Boyfriend

Meme hosted by The Unread Reader

Oh I don't think it is much of a surprise that I pick Creek from Flesh and Blood from the latest book in the Commarré series. Now Creek does look like a bad boy. He has a mohawk, rides a harley and did time in prison. Now, before you think I've gone off my rocker... he was convicted for protecting his sister who was being strangled. It was the only reason he would do harm to another human is to protect an innocent. He is a Native American (Seminole) belongs to a secret slayer society and is charged with protecting Chrysabelle. Now, I think he could easily leave the protecting to Mal and protect me!

Shh... No, don't tell him I have no vampires after me. He doesn't need to know that! If you tell him, I won't show you the pictures I found that might suit Creek.

Now, I did have trouble finding a full-blooded Native American model to fit the bill (hey, boys! Get busy and model! We need some eye candy!!) but I did find one who is at least half. His name is Greg Kheel and he looks like this:
or...
can't leave without posting...

So, stop drooling and tell me who your book boyfriend is this week! ;D

My Book Boyfriend

Meme hosted by the Unread Reader!

This weeks book boyfriend is from Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout. If you read my review you already know who I'm going to announce. It's Aiden! *sigh* Yes, I am officially claiming him right now. All the rest of you... back off!

Now, who could I chose to be Aiden? This form of perfection? He has dark hair and beautiful eyes (of course I can't match his eyes especially when they turn silver when he is angry!). Oh and he is built like a god. Mmmmm... yes...

However, is that why I'm so in love with Aiden? No. It is his personality (trust me the package doesn't hurt either!). He treats all as equals even though he was taught differently. He is part of the privileged class, but never saw himself as such. He truly sees me.. uh, I mean Alex, as who she really is deep down. In fact when she finds out more about herself, he doesn't bat an eye. No jealousy, just loves that she knows more about herself. He also thinks about others before himself. Yes, he thinks of Alex's future and not on his immediate gratification. His biggest fault? He doesn't know how to have fun, but he recognizes it and is willing to work on that. I'm willing to help. ;D So, you are wondering who I'm going to pick, eh? Well..
Close your eyes...
Picture a hot male of your chosing...
and give him the personality I stated.

*ahhh...*

Sometimes it's true. The personality makes the man. ;)
So, who is in your harem. Hands off Aiden! ;D

My Book Boyfriend Revisited!

Since a review, author blog post/giveaway is about to come up with this very soon to be published book I thought I'd revisit one of my Book Boyfriends, Owen! Oh no, I have not recast him but thought I'd just revisit the manly vision played by Jason Momoa!

Owen is just as sweet, strong and loving as before. Yes, I know... shut it girl... give us some pics!

I figure if I'm going to show him in his suit, you should still get some flesh nearby!
Waving to Gin, uh I mean me! ;)
Upset that anyone would have even thought to mess with me!
Aw...

So, what is in your moob, uh I mean harem this week?

My Book Boyfriend

Where Demons Fear to Tread (The Company of Angels)Today's book boyfriend is inspired by Where Demons Fear to Tread by Stephanie Chong. The man in question is Julian the unlikely hero. He was a good man in life, but fell right before his death. He became a demon and rose in the ranks rather quickly. Unfortunately for his demonhood, he meets Serena a smart guardian angel who melts the ice in his heart and strives to show her his sincerity of his feelings. His biggest obstacle isn't forgiveness from an all-knowing being, but from himself. He is also smexy as all get out and even though he is a demon who is not above bending the laws, he never forces himself on someone. Manipulative, yes, but he only goes so far.

Back to the smexiness...

So, who could be this demon looking for love? My nomination is Andrei Andrei. Yes, he was so nice they named him twice! Enough talk! We must have pics! Here you go:
Shirts really serve no purpose, do they?
Well, pants are really unnecessary too, you know?
Ah, so loving those demonic thoughts yet?

So who is your book boyfriend this week? Sorry, this one is all mine. ;D

My Book Boyfriend(s)

Since I haven't had a book boyfriend for a bit, thought I'd step it up and add 2!! ;D Got them both from the same book:
Devil Without a Cause (Devil's Bargain, Book 1)
(review tomorrow)

First up: A horny devil. ;)
Yes, he is actually the #1 fallen angel. The prince of darkness himself. Even though he actually loves misery and causing chaos... he actually fell in love. He let her go. Oops! Must be something left of the angel before he fell. Hm... I wonder.... Could he do more good deeds? Hey, this isn't the review... but a vision fest of man flesh. *ahem* So... who do I nominate for this?
Why, it's young Brad Pitt! I picked the younger version because he still had that boyish "who me?" look before he turned into a man. I think the Prince of Lies would work this look easily. Yep. I can see him drawn in innocents and not so innocents with this look. ;)

Now there was another character, Finn, that was quite interesting and smexy to boot. He was a rocker and someone who made a deal with the devil to gain fame with his music. He wanted to make music so much he would do anything (and did) to gain inspiration. My nomination for this damnable soul is:
Orlando Bloom! Oh I could see him as Finn very easily!
Btw...
and...

*ahem* Attention!
So, who is in your man harem this week. Yes, yes... you can go back to staring...

My Book Boyfriend

Meme sponsored by The Unread Reader

Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy)Today's book boyfriend comes from Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep (my review HERE). Logan has the reputation for being a man-whore, and being just a general rogue. However, he never treats Gwen this way so you have to wonder if it is all just reputation through gossip or does it have a ring of truth? He comes to Gwen's aid more than once and does not ask for anything in return. This is what makes me think his rep is more gossip than anything else. However, Logan himself puts this question back in our minds so we aren't sure what to think and neither does Gwen. Despite this there is more to the Spartan Logan than we see and I can't wait to find out more.

For Logan I pick Jesús Navas. He is a soccer player for Spain (no I don't watch soccer, I'm a typical American who watches Am. football instead... lol). His body is more slight that described for Logan, but his eyes seem to be spot on.
Oh yea... I could get lost there...
They are both athletic and competitive
One more look at those eyes...

Ah... so anyone want to go to Spain with me?
Who is in your harem this week?

Well... let's see... you have met my version of Dare MacIntosh from When You Dare:                                                        When You Dare (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor)
You've met my version of Trace Rivers from Trace of FeverTrace of Fever (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor)
Now meet my version of Jackson Savor from Savor the Danger:                                                            Savor the Danger (Hqn)                                                                   Oh yes, Jessie Pavelka would suit Jackson very well. I've actually never seen anything he was on and just happened across his pic. I can see him play the rogue who can be such a jerk who also knows he is handsome. Jackson finds the one who can put him in his place and he loves it. He is compassionate and caring even if you'd never get him to admit it. He just can't stand to see others suffer. Oh, and he also loves animals. *sigh*
Shirtless!
Gratuitous Shirtless pic!
(needed one more for good measure)

My Book Boyfriend: Steampunk Edition

Book Boyfriend meme hosted by The Unread Reader!
Phoenix Rising: A Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences NovelThere are some swoon-worthy characters within steampunk. From my review of Phoenix Rising, you may not think that "Books" (or Welly) is a good handsome book boyfriend, but oh no.. you would be wrong. Behind that nerdish exterior there lies some secret skills we only get a glimpse of in the book. Miss Brawn is also quite taken with him and her eye does not turn easily. Oh and speaking of Miss Brawn, Books can hold his own while trading jabs with her. Not many men accept a ladies help nor brain at this time and he has no problem with either. I can't wait to find out what other secrets Books holds... *snicker*

Now who could hold the steampunk candle without getting burned?
Johnny Depp, naturally!
Many of his roles have had a steampunk flavor to it but Sleepy Hollow was the most obvious:
I mean they even made a steampunk Jack! Obviously this man can do steampunk well.
gratuitous shirtless pic!
oh and...
*sigh*

Curious about the book? Don't forget... you can enter to win! Just go HERE to go to the post to enter!
So who is your "Book" *giggles* Boyfriend this week?

My Book Boyfriend: Anachronist Style

You know, I was finally granted that platinium card I'd been applying for so long (yes I hear your envious groans, do groan some more!). Melissa was driving really hard bargain but she is not totally merciless and with so many guys around it's good to have a female support from time to time. Anyhow in exchange I had to contribute to OUR harem. As I am called Anachronist not without a reason I chose historical fiction book - A Conspiracy of Paper by David Liss.
A Conspiracy of Paper: A Novel
The main character of this book, Benjamin Weaver, really caught my imagination. He is a man who can take care of himself and, being a former boxer and a highwayman, he is not afraid of a fight. He is also suprisingly well-groomed (the book is set at the beginning of the 18th century when lice and STDs were rampant) and has a great sense of humour. I was really brokenhearted when he didn't get a HEA so I decided to console him by inviting him to Melissa's and my fantastic harem (hereinafter called simply the harem but now you know who the owners are).

So, who do I see as Benjamin? John Abraham is my pick. Benjamin was of Jewish descend and his family came from Portugal... so the guy impersonating him must be dark and here you go...isn't he lovely?
And not only face of course :
How do you like him?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Psst.... It's Mel. Before many of you get upset thinking that I have caved and am now sharing my harem... let me put your fears and jealousies to rest. Anachronist was insisting on doing this meme. I mean who am I to throw away an opportunity to add to my harem? I mean.. look at that guy? I'm not passing that up. The platinum card is real, but it is the size of a wall intended to keep Anachronist on the other side of the harem. Oh, you should have seen the guys work on that wall. Sweaty, muscles bulging. *sigh* It was such a good sight to see! *rawr*
So, shhhh... don't tell her. I hold the only key to the harem! ;) Nope, I don't share! :D
