Throwback Thursday: Eli Monpress

Meme hosted by Melissa My World in Words and Pages. It's about books that are already on the shelves and are waiting to be read. Go to her website to join in!

I read the first book in this series (The Spirit Thief) and enjoyed it. I had wanted the other two and one day saw this omnibus on a good sale at Amazon (the big sale I had is gone, but it's still a pretty good price!). It's the first 3 books! Unfortunately  I haven't gotten to it yet. So my submission is:

The Legend of Eli Monpress
by Rachel Aaron
Eli Monpress is talented. He's charming. And he's a thief.
But not just any thief. He's the greatest thief of the age - and he's also a wizard. And with the help of his partners - a swordsman with the most powerful magic sword in the world but no magical ability of his own, and a demonseed who can step through shadows and punch through walls - he's going to put his plan into effect.
The first step is to increase the size of the bounty on his head, so he'll need to steal some big things. But he'll start small for now. He'll just steal something that no one will miss - at least for a while.
Like a king.
The Legend of Eli Monpress includes the novels: The Spirit Thief, The Sprit Rebellion, and The Spirit Eater.
So any omnibus books on your tbr waiting to be read?

  2. Oooo love when multiple novels are combined into a single book! It's so nice to have everything all together in one place. They did this with the Morganville Vampire series and I scooped those right up:) I'm still a little behind though, I read volumes one and two, but I still need to read volume three. At least I think I do. I'm almost positive there's a volume three:)

    1. I'll have to keep a lookout for the MV! Good way for me to get caught up! I also have a Kitty Norville series one that had the first 3 novels. Love these things. :D

  3. Let's not talk about my TBR list. I can't think of any omnibus novels off the top of my head but I haven't looked to see if some of the series I want are done like that. I am trying to read Elemental Assassin and Magic Bites series this year. Are they in an omnibus form yet?

  4. I recognize the title, but not the cover. I wonder if I have them in individual form. I'm going to look. I know I have The Spirit Thief, but I don't know if it's the same one or a completely different book. Or maybe I'm remembering wrong. I really like this cover!

Oh never mind. I have The SMOKE Thief, totally different book! I still recognize this title though...

  5. Does the three pack of City of Glass, Bones and um.. the other one by Cassandra Clare count? That's as close to an omnibus as I've got.

This one sounds great! That Thief sounds rather cocky. I like cocky characters. They always find themselves tripped up somehow! Read it!! I want to see how it is.

  6. This actually sounds kind of cool! I have the Wool omnibus by Hugh Howey on my e-reader. SO behind, though. I think it will take me a weekend to read, but there are so many books that keep besting it in the order. Hopefully I'll have it read by the end of the year! :-)
