Short Q and A with Tiffany Allee: Author of Banshee Charmer

Today I had a few questions for Tiffany Allee, the author of Banshee Charmer

Me: In the vein of the 6 word story, summarize Banshee Charmer.

Tiffany: First of all, thank you so much for having me here! Second, I've never tried a six word story, so my apologies in advance, haha.

A scream. A dream. Wicked team.

Me: How did you decide to combine a murder mystery with paranormal aspects?

Tiffany: Don't get me wrong, I love Law and Order and its ilk. But for me, they were always missing the romance aspect that I like to see in what I read and watch. I also love all things paranormal, so I decided to mix my three great genre loves into a story. That little story eventually morphed into Banshee Charmer.

Me: What inspired your paranormal world?

Tiffany: I think everything I've read and watched since I was a kid may have influenced Banshee Charmer to a certain extent. I'm sure that bits and pieces will remind readers of other worlds, but hopefully it has its own unique Flavor.

Me: Where did you come up with Aidan? Is he based on a real person?
*waggles eyebrows* ;)

Tiffany: Hah! Well if anything, he's a combination of people and characters. He sort of came out of my brain as a fully functioning person (although I'll admit he was a bit of a mystery to me at first too).

Me: Favorite books or Authors?

Tiffany: Stacia Kane's Downside series is my current favorite it's very gritty but absolutely the most emotional ride I've ever taken with a series of books.

Thanks so much for coming on the blog and answering my few strange questions! I'm saddened to hear that Aiden isn't in the flesh (heh). However, I still am adding him to my book man harem! ;D

When she’s sent to a crime scene and finds her second dead woman in as many weeks, half-banshee detective Kiera “Mac” McLoughlin is convinced a serial killer is on the loose. Incubi are extinct, her boss insists. But what else can kill a woman in the throes of pleasure? When her partner is murdered after using witchcraft to locate the killer and Mac is thrown off the case, her frustration turns to desperation.

Certain the killer is an incubus, Mac works behind her department’s back to chase down slim, sometimes perilous leads. While the killer eludes her, she does discover handsome Aidan Byrne, an investigative counterpart from the enigmatic Otherworlder Enforcement Agency. Mac typically runs her investigations fast and hard, but with Aidan at her side, she’s running this one “hot” as well. But Aidan knows more than he’s letting on—something that could shatter their blazing romance and add Mac to the killer’s growing body count
The book is currently available in ebook for $2.99 at Amazon and B&N.

  1. A scream. A dream. Wicked team.

That right there sold me! Seriously---all good action starts with a scream and served best with a wicked team. :)

  2. I LOVE Downside Ghosts! I feel like we've been waiting forever for that fourth one, eh?

I also love Law and Order SVU, but feel like we're missing the romance aspect that I so love. They really shouldn't have made Elliot married. Then him and Liv could have had a relationship. :D I love the six word description, it sounds inviting!

  3. thank you so much for the interview! I've read the first book of the Stacia Kane series but I have the second too in my TBR pile, I really need to read it!

It's interesting to know where the ideas come from. And I love your 6 words for the story.

  4. Oooo good choice on the Downside books, I adore those! Chess and Terrible are just painfully beautiful and so very hard to read about at times. Thanks for the short and sweet interview ladies!

  7. "A scream. A dream. Wicked team."

Love that!!! And isn't it crazy that the best fictional guys are the ones that are made up of a bunch of parts of real ones. LOL

    Thanks for the interview, ladies.
