Netflix: They have movies!

Yep, still Netflix-ing and yep, it is still cutting into my book time. I have been starting to get back into my reading. Perhaps my brain is coming back? Why did it leave? Questions for the universe, I guess.

I'm still continuing Supernatural but in the middle of S4 so I won't say more now. I did put Once Upon a Time to the side right now. I'll try it again later.

I did see a couple of movies I wanted to mention.

I'm probably the last to have seen Finding Dory but I finally did and I loved it. I don't know why it took me so long especially since I've been a fan of Pixar since their shorts. If you haven't seen it, you need to see this one. It made me laugh a lot and it is so cute. It doesn't suffer from sophomore syndrome at all.

The other movie I want to mention is Begin Again. This one is so good with a lot of character growth, romantic tension without romance (yes, you read that right). I loved Kiera Knight's character and how she made her music and how she viewed it. She was naive with a brain and willing to learn. She figured out who she was and became true to that knowledge. Adam Levine's character was a jerk, but the problem he creates is the perfect reason for her to find herself in both music and in life. Cute film.

  1. Netflix does have a way of cutting into reading time doesn't it? I love binge watching though. Sometimes you just need that you know? :P

    1. I think I've seen Shawshank Redemption when he goes to prison and seemed to always skip the beginning when it is on tv. I didn't even know it had a beginning for a long time. LOL Watch the beginning of Begin Again. You'll like it. :D

Going to watch Kubo. Will soon!

  3. Romantic tension sans romance, does not commute! I hadn't heard of this movie but maybe I'll check it out!

I saw Finding Dory in theatres (cuz you HAVE to see EVERY Disney movie in the theatres in my household) and wasn't that impressed. :/ My husband loved it, but I was expecting a bit more.

    1. It makes sense in the context and I was glad there was no romance in this case. It isn't a romantic story. :)

I loved Dory. I was surprised that I laughed so much. Sorry you didn't love it as much. Hopefully the next one will rock for you though. :D

    1. I wasn't expecting so much humor and I think that is what sold me on it. I was expecting a sophomore movie.

  7. Yeah it's hard to pry away from netflix to get anything done, never mind reading. It has so many movies, tv shows, documentaries, etc. I especially love finding indie gems like foreign movies that hit my heart. Yeah, I think netflix is such a great invention :)

  8. Every once and a while we will watch a movie on Netflix, but my kids aren't much into watching movies they've already seen. We are still on Arrow season 1. :-)

  9. I binge a ton of shows but don't watch movies as much on Netflix, but I have watched a few. The Wave was pretty good. And Finding Dory is pretty awesome. :)

  10. I'm the opposite. I can get into books, but not shows. And I'm so bad I still haven't watched Finding Dory yet, either even though I'm a fan of the first one and Pixar.

Glad you are enjoying Supernatural and found some good movies.

    1. I get into both, but sometimes a movie is easier to get back to than a book I don't want to put down. :)

  11. I loved Finding Dory and actually own a copy( a gift). Laughed all the way through it. I also liked Begin Again although I saw that on a movie channel. I just did a binge of four seasons of Orphan Black. So, so good! I almost always end up binge watching although I stopped on Supernatual at like episode 5 over a period of months. Just didn't grab me but still on my watch list. I like a lot of the British ones as well.

    1. Orphan Black. I'm curious about that one. I've been enjoying Supernatural, but I did like it when I'd see an occasional ep.
