Top Off Tuesday: Double Full

"Every once in awhile there are covers that just make you say Oh My! Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is bad, and sometimes it is head scratching. The point of Top Off Tuesday is to show you the ones with their Tops Off! Seriously y’all hunting out Top Off Tuesday covers is one of my favorite pastimes and you should join the fun!" ~from the Geeky Blogger

I have been enjoying this meme on Felicia's The Geeky Blogger's blog and have finally found some time to join in. The other players are Amanda from On a Book Bender, Christi from Smitten with Reading. Button made by Missie at The Unread Reader

Up and coming football hero, Colton Michaels, makes a Hail Mary pass one night in the college locker room that results in the hottest, sexiest five days of his young life. However, interference after the play has him hiding his past and burying his future in the bottom of a bottle. While Colt seems to have it all, looks can be deceiving, especially when you’re trapped so far in a closet that you can’t see your way out. When ten years of living his expected fast-lane lifestyle lands him engaged to his manipulative Russian supermodel girlfriend, he decides it’s time to call a new play.

Jace Montgomery single-handily built the largest all-star cheerleading gym in the world, driven by a need to forget a life-altering encounter with a handsome quarterback a decade ago. His reputation as an excellent coach, hard-nosed business man, and savvy entrepreneur earned him respect in the sometimes catty world of competitive cheerleading. When Jace learns of his ex-lover’s plans to marry, his heart executes a barrel roll and his carefully-placed resolve tumbles down without a mat to absorb the shock. Can his island escape help him to finally let go of the past and move his life forward?
Hm... I was innocently looking around Goodreads and I spotted this cover. Thought it would be perfect for the meme. Plus, I'm thinking football since my team won the AFC West! (GO BRONCOS!) :)

Any books to cheer for on your ToT?

  1. Looks like a Jaci Burton cover -- and I love it! Ripped athlete? Check. Abs to die for? Check.

...Strange author name? Um, check. (I'm wondering, since this is a self-pub, if the first name of "Kindle" is a way to pop up in just about every Kindle search...)

  2. A lot of sports-related novels have such ripped covers! I was looking through Jaci Burton novels the other day and her covers are quite similar. Well, let's hope the book itself is as good as the cover! ;)

  3. Just as when we were kids and blackened out the teeth, drew spots on photos in magazines I'd feel the urge to draw chest hair etc on this cover.
