GHOSTLY JUSTICE, an all-new Seven Deadly Sins novella by New York Times bestselling author Allison Brennan (author of the Seven Deadly Sins series) — Demon hunters Moira O’Donnell and Rafe Cooper are dragged into the dangerous world of nocturnal predators to find “Ghostly Justice” for a virgin sacrificed to an ancient blood demon.
I decided to do a mini review of this book since the descriptions were so good at profiling all the stories within this book. This was an enjoyable anthology even though some of the author afterwords were a bit bittersweet since many of them knew of someone with breast cancer or cancer in general. I've always believed that the cure to one cancer will lead to others (and cures for other diseases as well), so I believe it is important to support these endeavors even if it isn't the type of cancer that touched your life. These authors put their craft to work for a cure and I, for one, congratulate them!

As for the book... as with all anthologies you will find ones you love and ones you don't care for. I found my most surprising story by Michelle Diener since I enjoyed it so much and she never wrote a paranormal before. I hope she continues. Especially with the story within the anthology. I will also say that even though there are a couple of stories here that could be considered YA (or are, like Jennifer Estep's story) I would not say that this is for the YA group, most of the stories are adult in nature.

I give this book 4 stars. It is a great collection of stories to find a new author or continue with an author you enjoy! Plus it supports a great cause. I mean it's not often you can get 11 stories for only $2.99! Get it where you buy your ebooks!
I received this book from an author and no compensation for my review was given.

  1. Such anthologies remind me of a box of chocolates - they are good for trying new flavours but you must be very lucky to like all of them. Thanks for a great mini review!

  2. I am with Anachronist! I think this would be a perfect type of anthology as there will be something for everyone :)

  3. I'm totally feeling the new banner/background. This anthology sounds like it's loaded with a bunch of good stories. Nice review Melissa!!

  4. Loving your Halloween look. As you know I'm not a fan of the short story but The Fat Cat does appeal to me.

  5. I love anthologies. They always give me a taste of new and old authors.

  6. I love anthologies for a good cause, especially when they have a little bit of everything for everyone!

  7. So excited to read this one! And I think it's amazing that they're donating the proceeds to such a worthwhile cause. I have this book waiting on my Kindle and I can't wait!

  8. This is a fantastic idea and effort by these authors for a good cause. Funny how the one that stood out for you was by an author who doesn't normally write in the paranormal genre - must be a fresh voice!

  9. Nice review, this book is already on my wishlist :)

  10. awesome review ! I can't wait to read it, I've it in my TBR pile. I think it's always difficult with anthology to know exactly what we can have.

  11. I love most of these authors, so I'm going to get this for sure.

  12. It was a good collection and so any authors! You gotta love that

  13. @Anachronist... LOL You never know what you are going to get! ;D

@Felicia... It really looked like you could at least find one you'd really enjoy!

@PH... Thanks. Plus, I love that it supports a good cause.

@...Petty...TY. You might find one or two that would appeal, but anthologies aren't for everyone!

@Savannah... That is why I like them as well.

    @Missie... Exactomundo! :)

@Jenny....I think you will enjoy them! Some of the anecdotes are a bit sad for some.

@Stephanie... I really enjoyed that one and was quite surprised that she didn't write in that genre!

@Aurian... Oh get it! Great cause too! :)

@Melliane... Oh I hope you find several gems!

@Anne... Oh good! Hope you enjoy!

@Blodeuedd... Loved your dual review! I enjoyed it too!

  14. Oooh I OBVIOUSLY need this like YESTERDAY! Love the cover too!!!

  15. I like anthologies for the most part, but I hate that the stories are so short. Still, I've found a lot of stories that I fully enjoy and I can always read their full published work if I like it. In the end, I guess I'm pro-anthology. These sound pretty good. Besides, I do love to donate to a cause. :D

  16. I have this one on my want list. :) And some new authors to try out, so sounds like a must get. :) Thank you!!

  17. Melissa, thank you for the lovely mini review of ENTANGLED! I loved your comments - Michelle D. did write an awesome story, didn't she?!

Have a marvelous weekend, and Happy Halloween!

    Nancy Haddock

  18. Thanx for the great review, Melissa. It is a fantastic anthology and an even better cause. Having battled (and continue to battle) breast cancer for the last 15 years, being asked to participate in Entangled was a thrill and a treat to work with so many talented authors.

  19. @Ashley... yes... go get it!

@Jen... LOL you crack me up!

@Melissa... get that hubs to get you a ereader!!

@Nancy... Thanks so much for stopping by! Loved all the stories really. I was surprised that she never wrote in the genre before!

@Liz.... Thanks for commenting! I think that it was for a worthy cause and all the anecdotes at the end really made it for me. I hope you have lots of health now and in the future! ((HUGS))

  20. I feel like a booger- I have never read a single book from the contributing authors! I shall have to check it out (and I love that it helps a good cause!)... ;)
