This weeks questions from Smash Attack Reads!

1. I love Leif Helgarson, Viking Vampire, Esq. I have to say that combo makes a pretty cool attorney. If you could have a paranormal/mythical beastie (or combo) covering your tuckus in court, what would you choose and why?

I would definitely take Leif. Beta male in his clan which means he is second in charge. Which also means that no human could EVER make him flinch. Good thing to have around in court and in other areas of law in which they woud try to bully you.

2. The police show up to question Atticus about his Irish Wolfhound, Oberon. If you could own any dog breed, what would it be and why? (P.S. Oberon is going on my list of favorite sidekicks!)

I have actually wanted a Irish Wolfhound. If it wasn't for the short lifespan and the massive hip and elbow problems they have, I would have gotten one by now. There was one in our animal shelter. I almost took him, but couldn't because my house is full. A rescue group got him.

My dobe is a pressie from my parents. I adore dobes! He's my first. Clowns and they are so sweet. Not for the unexperienced dog owner, however.

3. Malina Sokolowski and the other Sisters of the Three Auroras coven have my antennae up. What is your opinion of them?

Tricky! Yep... summed it up in one word. :D

4. Brighid, goddess of poetry, fire and the forge, gave Atticus the power of Cold Iron, which can be used to fight off that nasty lilttle hellspawn. If you could wield one magical power, what would it be and why?

Oh that is a hard question. I'm not sure what is all up for grabs. Hm... I like his magical eye. Reveals what is hidden and I like that idea. I also like the idea of camouflage. Oh and the magical hair! Never have a bad hair day. I think I need more time to explore this world to decide. LOL

5. The cops show up at Atticus’ shop to search for poor Oberon, who remains magically hidden throughout the ordeal. What is the one thing you would do if you could remain hidden from sight? I want to hear some good answers for this one!

I don't know. I know... not a good answer. I don't really like being voyeuristic. Plus, knowing me, it wouldn't work anyway. I'd giggle or cough or something to give me away. However, I would probably find out what others were saying behind my back. Sometimes, though... it's so much better to not know for certain and live in ignorance. LOL

Btw, ending this week on chpt 15 was so mean! Just sayin' ;) LOL

  1. The short life span of bigger dogs is definitely a huge drawback.

  2. Cracking me up. Getting a magical power would probably give me cancer of something. Every time I'm on the receiving end of fortune or luck, I start wondering what is fixing to go wrong. That is the hopeful pessimist that is me.

    1. OMG! You are so right! LOL

Is the glass half empty/full? I say it depends on what is in it! ;D

    2. Come on people, you need to make with the positive vibes. Don't be thinking bad things will happen to you, it's almost like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Think positive thoughts!

  3. I thought choosing V from BDB, but I don't think he's much of a people person. LOL! Maybe Saxton, but I don't think I know him that well. And yeah, I'd love Leif too. You really can't go wrong with him. :)

  4. I told Tonks she had to live forever. We agreed so if she breaks that promise she is in BIG trouble. I love big dogs but that is a huge drawback. That being said I wish they lived as long as us!!!!

    1. I have tried and failed with that. I keep trying to make them live forever though.

...and live a healthy long life! :)

  5. Ooh, magical hair! That'd be awesome because I'm just not good with hair. Thus, the reason it's in a pile on top of my head 9/10ths of my life.

Love the wolfhounds--had a friend who had both an Irish and a Scottish. gorgeous, sweet dogs.

    1. The Irish always seem so fragile to me. But then again, with what I have/had it makes sense. LOL

We all need magical hair. LOL

  6. LMAO! Why did you have to ruin my make believe fun and remind me that I'd totally giggle too if I were spying on people? Getting caught like that would totally be awkward.

And your ball-less dobe is magnificent! I love him to pieces. Ooooh, but I didn't know that Irish Wolfhounds had so many problems. Those poor babies.

    Happy Weekend, little bee!

    1. Whenever I tried to hide, I'd end up having to cough, sneeze, or just giggle. So, I know I would suck at it. ROFL Plus, with our luck we'd get caught nekkid or something just to add to the humiliation. :D

My cojone-less dobe *snicker* sends a big wet kiss your way! :D

  9. Oh, I would totally cough and give myself away. Or, really I'd probably giggle all over the place. I'm one of those people who has a really hard time keeping a strait face. When Hubs is pissed and we're fighting, I usually end up laughing because his face is ridiculous and I also laugh at really inappropriate moments. Perfect hair day? I could do that. I'd rather have a magical eye though. I could rock that.

    1. Well, that would break up the fight. Sometimes I love it when people laugh in odd situations. Breaks up the tension. Of course, it could add to it as well.. hm...

  10. If only there was magic enough to make my hair perfect :(
I's probably give myself away too, I reckon I could stifle the giggles but I'd probably trip over something :)

  11. Oh yes like your one word description...THICK. Magic hair sign me up wouldn't it be great to get out of bed with perfect hair? I agree about the giggling and coughing thing. I ended up reading the next chapter couldn't stop on that note.

  12. I can't believe there was an Irish Wolfhound in the shelter - poor baby! I'm glad if it wasn't you that a rescue group got him.

I am so with you on living in ignorance! Ugh, my husband is always harping on me to watch the news, learn what's going on, blah, blah, blah. I say, if I can't do anything about it, I don't need to know right now... la la la la la la la...

  13. Everytime I read these questions, I just want to read the book even more!

  14. Actually, and not to be contradictory, but I wouldn't mind a perfect body - Perfect hair could be a bonus though. I love Irish Wolfhounds, and other larger breeds, the short life span puts me off though - you become too attached!
    Lynn :D

  16. magical hair would be so neat. Just smile demurely, twist hair in fingers, bam men fall at your feet!

  17. Great answer with the magical hair. I would love to never have to do my hair in the morning. That would rock. Plus who doesn't crave some luscious locks!

  18. Oooooh! You are all getting to me with this read along. I do need so badly to get into this series. :)

  19. Okay, I confess I'm intrigued with the idea of magical hair - does it mean never a bad hair day? Any color, length, style you want without using appliances or products? I'm in!!!

  20. I had the same issue. I didn't want to stop reading at chapter 15... so I didn't. lol I "accidentally" finished the rest of the book.

  21. Oh I would love an Irish Wolf hound but like you their short lifespan concerns me too and the fact that I think our house would be a bit of a squeeze. Love the idea of magical hair too, bad hair days be gone with you!
