Galley books has offered a Giveaway to my bloggy readers! Sorry, international peeps, but it's US only.
Critics and authors were spellbound by Alma Katsu's debut novel, The Taker, her stunning tale of a mysterious young woman, Lanore, and an unwitting Maine doctor who falls into her world, a hidden world that exists outside the boundaries of time. In this magical realm, where the predatory use pleasure to corrupt the innocent, Lanore's incredible devotion to Jonathan, her first, true love, captures the attention of Adair, the dangerous man who rules this world, and ignites within him an all-consuming desire to possess her.

It sounds nice, the cover is really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLooks interesting!
ReplyDeleteOh wow. And that cover is just stunning! :) Thanks for sharing this one.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, this cover was the first thing that made me want to read this (I want that mask!), but the buzz about it is very positive, so that helped, too.
ReplyDeleteAlso, puppies aren't purple because they're cute enough without rainbow colors, and you sneeze from dust because you are allergic to housework. ;)
This cover's bolder than on the ARC I received. But it reminds me of a Blue Bloods book.
ReplyDeleteThis book was amazing and I would love to win the ppb version with the gorgeous cover..
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to read this for awhile. Sounds fabulous and the cover is stunning.
ReplyDeleteI've been hearing alot about this one, sounds good! tWarner419@aol.com
ReplyDeleteLove the cover!! Also, I need to get a new tattoo lol :)
ReplyDeleteThe cover is what makes me want to read it. Looks great! Why aren't puppies purple? I thought they were. At least in Hollywood. Not sure why dust makes you sneeze. I tend to ignore it.
ReplyDeleteOooh I've never heard of this!! Cover whore ALERT!!!
ReplyDeleteI am interested with the plot. Puppies are not purple because they might be mistaken as cousins of Barney. :p
ReplyDeleteI am not entering, but I'd like to answer the questions. Puppies aren't purple because their poop would be purple and then we couldn't accidentally step in it when our neighbor lets their dog poop in our yard. Dust makes you sneeze? It makes me pee!
ReplyDeleteHeather :)
I love the cover. I heard good things about this book. Tore923@aol.com
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway! I really like the premise of this book and have read great reviews so I'd like to read due to that.
ReplyDeleteUmmm... puppies aren't purple cuz it would be too hard to accessorize them in different outfits and too hard to play hide and seek :)
Cool cover. Sounds like a pretty good story.
ReplyDeleteAnd while puppies may not be purple. I did see a poodle dyed pink one year in a parade.
Love this cover, would love to win this book, thanks for the chance. I follow by GFC and email.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with the commenter above, you sneeze from dust as you are allergic to housework. Lol. Would be worse if dust were made of pepper.
Ummm... Why does your man harem keep asking me if they could join mine? You know Melissa. I wish I knew. I'm getting kind of tired of the late night calls, and wish they would stop. I guess they are not very happy over there in Colorado. Maybe Texas would be a better fit for them. Go ahead... send them over. I'll try to make room. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is why I don't write.I have no creativity. My day job is a nurse. I am technical and scientific. Puppies just aren't purple, unless you can get into the scientific reasons for it I just can't tell you why! Gah! Ihated English in school!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit this world and find out if puppies are purple there.
