From Goodreads:

She's as tough as anything haunting Chicago's streets. But to deal with an inhuman power that won't stay buried, this FBI agent needs help that comes at an immortal price. . .
Jackie Rutledge has seen her share of supernatural killers. But her latest murder case is what recurring nightmares are made of. Brutally exsanguinated human victims, vanishing-into-the-ether evidence, and a city on the edge of panic mean that she and her psychic partner, Laurel, are going to need more than just backup . . .
So Jackie is fine with any help rugged P.I. Nick Anderson can give--even if that includes the impish ghost and sexy vampire who make up his team. But Nick is hiding secrets of his own. And Jackie's investigation has plunged them both into a vengeful game reaching back centuries--and up against a malevolent force hungry for more than just victory. . .
Under Wraps by Hannah Jayne

From Goodreads:
As a human immune to magic, Sophie Lawson can help everyone from banshee to zombie transition into normal, everyday San Francisco life. With a handsome werewolf as her UDA boss and a fashionista vampire for a roommate, Sophie knows everything there is to know about the undead, the unseen, and the uncanny. . .
Until a rash of gruesome murders has demons and mortals running for cover, and Sophie finds herself playing sidekick to detective Parker Hayes. Dodging raging bloodsuckers, bad-tempered fairies, and love-struck trolls is one thing. But when Sophie discovers Parker isn't what he seems, she's got only one chance to figure out whom to trust. Because an evil hiding in plain sight is closing in. . .and about to make one wisecracking human its means to ultimate power. . .
Okay, I realize the first 3 started out as a Dan Dos Santos cover tribute (I think he is my favorite cover artist) and ended up being an Urban Fantasy book fest!
So...

  5. That's a lot of gorgeous UF! lol

I have so many series' I follow, most of the time I'm just mesmerized by the covers of the ones I don't (since there's no way I can start more than the dozen I already am reading). There are some really talented cover artists out there.

  8. Now I have to check out Under Wraps as it is set locally. BTW, this is not fantasy per say as there are real-life bloodsuckers, fairies, and trolls walking around in San Francisco, as anyone who's ever walked around the Castro at 3 am knows.
