YOU WANT MY SOUL AND MY BOYFRIEND?
Trying to work things out with
Nash—her maybe boyfriend—is hard enough for Kaylee Cavanaugh. She can’t just
pretend nothing happened. But “complicated” doesn’t even begin to describe their
relationship when his ex-girlfriend transfers to their school, determined to
take Nash back.
See, Sabine isn’t just an ordinary girl. She’s a mara,
the living personification of a nightmare. She can read people’s fears—and craft
them into nightmares while her victims sleep. Feeding from human fear is how she
survives.
And Sabine isn’t above scaring Kaylee and the entire school to
death to get whatever—and whoever—she wants.
I DON'T THINK SO.
The official shelf date is Jan, 1 2011!
I try to shy away from Rachel Vincent's work whenever possible. But sometimes her books are so dirt cheap on sale that I get tempted to buy anyway. However the Shifter series is still sitting at the bottom of my TBR pile and has been there for the last year or so... I've read some reviews that she writes stupid protagonists but has marvellous world building. I hate stupid heroines with a passion... probably why I shy away from her work... but I will wait for your review with this one... see what you think ;)
ReplyDeleteI might also wait for your review of this one. I've heard some good and some bad things about this series and I am still sitting on the fence - you know, marvelous view but after a while you get very uncomfortable...
ReplyDeleteI heart this author. She always makes me so emo with her books.
ReplyDelete@ Cherry, I'm not going to lie, this series is not the best series ever... That being said, this book is probably the best book in this series. I did find it somewhat hard getting through the first two books because I don't like the main male character, but the third and fourth books in the series are fantabulous and well worth pushing through the first two books.
ReplyDeleteBut her Shifters series? My favourite series of all time! It is really great and I don't find the protagonists to be stupid whatsoever (obviously)... ;)
I haven't read this series yet, but I'm curious. I love the shifter series. Granted I've only read 2, but I love it. :) Maybe that one would be more to your liking, Cherry.
ReplyDeleteHOLY Whoa! I hope I never cross paths with that chick. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm so behind on this series, but I've heard get things. Will have to read it soon. :D
