On My Wishlist: Magic Rises by Ilona Andrews and Reneé Raudman

Going slightly retro with this one...

Magic Rises
Series: Kate Daniels #6
by Ilona Andrews
Unabridged Audio
Narrator: Reneé Raudman
15 hrs. 6 min
Atlanta is a city plagued by magical problems. Kate Daniels will fight to solve them—no matter the cost.
Mercenary Kate Daniels and her mate, Curran, the Beast Lord, are struggling to solve a heartbreaking crisis. Unable to control their beasts, many of the Pack’s shapeshifting children fail to survive to adulthood. While there is a medicine that can help, the secret to its making is closely guarded by the European packs, and there’s little available in Atlanta.
Kate can’t bear to watch innocents suffer, but the solution she and Curran have found threatens to be even more painful. The European shapeshifters who once outmaneuvered the Beast Lord have asked him to arbitrate a dispute—and they’ll pay him in medicine. With the young people’s survival and the Pack’s future at stake, Kate and Curran know they must accept the offer—but they have little doubt that they’re heading straight into a trap…
I've been catching up on these on audio and LOVING them! THEN my darn library doesn't have the rest... so I'm just putting this one out there libraries... HINT! ;)

  1. I need a re-read of the first book so I can finally catch up. I read it so many years ago that I've already forgotten.

  3. Don't you just love it when you get a clear picture of a character in your mind. I can see the Beast Lord as clearly as I can the nose on my face.

    1. The cover models have changed, but I do like this one. The books, however, are quite visual and I don't mind seeing the Beast Lord at all especially in his human form! :D

  15. LOVE this series! Definitely try to interlibrary loan it. Did you check Overdrive, 3MM or any other library digital services? I would be shocked if they don't have it there. It's super popular!

  16. I read the first one but I am one of those people that wasn't impressed and to be honest I struggled to get through it. Never wanted to continue. I know everyone says the first book wasn't that good, but just have too many others I really want to read :) Glad they are good for you though!
