Throwback Thursday: Jeaniene Frost EKOD

Meme hosted by Melissa My World in Words and Pages. It's about books that are already on the shelves and are waiting to be read. Go to her website to join in!

I've been sadly behind on one of my fave series and the offshoot series. So this week my submission is:

Eternal Kiss of Darkness
by Jeaniene Frost
An immortal war has been brewing in the darkness . . . And now one woman has stumbled into the shadows.

Chicago private investigator Kira Graceling should have just kept on walking. But her sense of duty refused to let her ignore the moans of pain coming from inside a warehouse just before dawn. Suddenly she finds herself in a world she's only imagined in her worst nightmares.
At the center is Mencheres, a breathtaking Master vampire who thought he'd seen it all. Then Kira appears, this fearless, beautiful . . . human who braved death to rescue him. Though he burns for her, keeping Kira in his world means risking her life. Yet sending her away is unthinkable.
But with danger closing in, Mencheres must choose either the woman he craves, or embracing the darkest magic to defeat an enemy bent on his eternal destruction.
Yes, I know it is a sin to be behind in the Night Huntress world, but with all the review books I am very behind which makes me sad. I will catch up.. one day. Can I be forgiven? *Looks penitent*

So, what book is making you feel guilty that is still on the shelves waiting to be read?

  1. I'm even further behind with teh series than you - I've only read the first book! Even more sinful I really liked the first book and have the next two on my shelves...I just haven't got around to reading them yet! Shame on me...

    1. Well, if you are in the mood for a good UF adult, you so need to get into these. :)

  3. Sounds like a good read. I'm still trying to figure out if that is a vampire wearing glasses on the cover.

    1. Hm... no glasses. Plus, I doubt Menchares would wear them. :) Sort of has super senses. :D

  4. Jeaniene Frost was one of the first authors I read when I got into the adult paranormal romance genre, so her books always have a special place in my heart. I really enjoyed Mencheres and Kira, it was fun to get to see a different side of him than we got in Cat and Bones's story:)

I hate that cover though, he looks nothing like Mencheres!

    1. So need to get to it. Can't wait. I got this when it first came out.

I know! He doesn't look anything like him. LOL

  5. I actually really liked this one, and I never thought I would. But Kira was a perfect match for MEncheres, even though I thought he couldn't possibly meet his equal. I think he's quite scary.

  6. I haven't read the two spinoffs and I am a book behind in Night Huntress so you are not alone. I still need to read Vlad's book as well. I remember being confused in Night Huntress about Denise and Kira because I had not read these books. I have them, just need to find time to read them! Ugh!

    1. Oh you so need to read about Spade. He was always my fave and it was fun and bumming to read about him and Denise. LOL

  7. I read this one but it's the most recent that I haven't read yet and it's sad cause the next one comes out really soon! Thanks for the reminder, now maybe I can somehow fit it in here soon.

  11. I am also SO behind in the Night Huntress books (I think the last one I read was At Grave's End), so don't feel too bad.

I haven't even thought about picking up any offshoot series. This one sounds great though, great pick!
