Yep, still Netflix-ing and yep, it is still cutting into my book time. I have been starting to get back into my reading. Perhaps my brain is coming back? Why did it leave? Questions for the universe, I guess.
I'm still continuing Supernatural but in the middle of S4 so I won't say more now. I did put Once Upon a Time to the side right now. I'll try it again later.
I did see a couple of movies I wanted to mention.
I'm probably the last to have seen Finding Dory but I finally did and I loved it. I don't know why it took me so long especially since I've been a fan of Pixar since their shorts. If you haven't seen it, you need to see this one. It made me laugh a lot and it is so cute. It doesn't suffer from sophomore syndrome at all.
The other movie I want to mention is Begin Again. This one is so good with a lot of character growth, romantic tension without romance (yes, you read that right). I loved Kiera Knight's character and how she made her music and how she viewed it. She was naive with a brain and willing to learn. She figured out who she was and became true to that knowledge. Adam Levine's character was a jerk, but the problem he creates is the perfect reason for her to find herself in both music and in life. Cute film.

Netflix does have a way of cutting into reading time doesn't it? I love binge watching though. Sometimes you just need that you know? :P
ReplyDeleteI know! Darn Netflix! LOL
DeleteFinding Dory was cute and I think I saw 1/2 of Begin Again?? lol On TV I'm always catching movies when they're already 1/2 way in. I just google them to catch up lol
ReplyDeleteP.S. Watch Kubo and the Two Strings
For What It's Worth
I think I've seen Shawshank Redemption when he goes to prison and seemed to always skip the beginning when it is on tv. I didn't even know it had a beginning for a long time. LOL Watch the beginning of Begin Again. You'll like it. :D
DeleteGoing to watch Kubo. Will soon!
Romantic tension sans romance, does not commute! I hadn't heard of this movie but maybe I'll check it out!
ReplyDeleteI saw Finding Dory in theatres (cuz you HAVE to see EVERY Disney movie in the theatres in my household) and wasn't that impressed. :/ My husband loved it, but I was expecting a bit more.
It makes sense in the context and I was glad there was no romance in this case. It isn't a romantic story. :)
DeleteI loved Dory. I was surprised that I laughed so much. Sorry you didn't love it as much. Hopefully the next one will rock for you though. :D
Dory :D It was ok
ReplyDeleteI wasn't expecting so much humor and I think that is what sold me on it. I was expecting a sophomore movie.
DeleteI have yet to see Moana. I really want to see it though!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out Begin Again :) Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy!
DeleteYeah it's hard to pry away from netflix to get anything done, never mind reading. It has so many movies, tv shows, documentaries, etc. I especially love finding indie gems like foreign movies that hit my heart. Yeah, I think netflix is such a great invention :)
ReplyDeleteIt's good and not. :) It's been a good distraction with everything going on.
DeleteEvery once and a while we will watch a movie on Netflix, but my kids aren't much into watching movies they've already seen. We are still on Arrow season 1. :-)
ReplyDeleteI never got into Arrow. Might try it on Netflix... :)
DeleteI binge a ton of shows but don't watch movies as much on Netflix, but I have watched a few. The Wave was pretty good. And Finding Dory is pretty awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteWill have to check out The Wave. I do have several movies in my list.
DeleteI'm the opposite. I can get into books, but not shows. And I'm so bad I still haven't watched Finding Dory yet, either even though I'm a fan of the first one and Pixar.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying Supernatural and found some good movies.
I get into both, but sometimes a movie is easier to get back to than a book I don't want to put down. :)
DeleteI loved Finding Dory and actually own a copy( a gift). Laughed all the way through it. I also liked Begin Again although I saw that on a movie channel. I just did a binge of four seasons of Orphan Black. So, so good! I almost always end up binge watching although I stopped on Supernatual at like episode 5 over a period of months. Just didn't grab me but still on my watch list. I like a lot of the British ones as well.
ReplyDeleteOrphan Black. I'm curious about that one. I've been enjoying Supernatural, but I did like it when I'd see an occasional ep.
DeleteI think I'm the only one that didn't like Finding Dory, haha.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about Supernatural!
Not the only one, but I did enjoy it. :)
DeleteIf you like tongue in cheek and a UF vibe, then try Supernatural. :)
i don't have Netflix, i think because my husband still needs his wife to function as a person ahaha
ReplyDeleteI have books and Netflix so I can function as a person. :)
DeleteI liked Finding Dory but I didn't know about the other one
ReplyDeleteI think you'll enjoy Begin Again!
DeleteI just watched Finding Dory last month as well and I seriously loved it so much :) I haven't watched Begin Again, but it's been on my to-watch list for a while, so it's time I got to it :)
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you enjoy as much as I did!
DeleteLove me some Netflix :) Finding Dory was great!
ReplyDelete:D I thought it was funny. :)
DeleteNetflix can be dangerous haha. I'm onto season 6 of Supernautral but I really need to get back to it. Finding Dory is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm almost to you on Supernatural! :D
DeleteI pretty much always have Netflix in the background while I'm working/blogging. Right now during visits I'm watching Criminal Minds. lol
ReplyDeleteI often have the tv on in the background but I don't usually pay attention to it if I'm doing something else.
DeleteI used to have Netflix but I cancelled it.
ReplyDeleteYou can probably catch some of these in other ways.
DeleteI have not Finding Dory. I hope you are enjoying Supernatural. I think it is a great series. although I am bit behind. Binge watching sure do cut into one's reading time. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree. :) Watching seems to be more of a vegging experience than reading for me. :)
DeleteYou are not alone...Netflix really cuts into my time...and I haven't seen Finding Dory yet!
ReplyDeleteI think it was so cute! :D
DeleteI loooved Finding Dory, so I am glad you finally watched and enjoyed it :D Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteBrittany @ Brittany's Book Rambles
Me too! :D
DeleteOh yea. I have a loooong list of movies for us to get for a few months on Netflix. :) I do love them.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting on doing more movies. :)
